Playing the Amplitudes is (1) Spicer's golden-gloves screw-you ("my business of screwing business") (2) Olsonian Jeremiad ("two thousand years of shimmer shimmy / and oops, the loop of leggo my ego ergo a Plato") (3) Deleuzian analysis ("manage the state of desire with the state- / ment you guess") reimagined as dissonant bebop, after-hours, furious, head-long; the intense, riffing word-stream a tab of respite, the instant of creation "instanter," a radical present-tense.
