Accessorize

I received an email today from Abebooks, which advertised The Avid Reader. Within the body of the email, next to a cover pic of Capote's Summer Crossing, I found this little pitch:

"While some advise using summertime as a chance to read something escapist, light-hearted, even trashy - we say why not show off something a little more literary from your chaise lounge?"

"Literature" literally is an "accessory," that which "smartens your look," so to speak. Lookout Capote, I've got Mobley. Although, at this point, I can imagine Hank's recordings packaged and marketed in similar (ahem) fashion.
